Despite how it may otherwise appear, I haven’t died or forgotten to pay the bill for the server. The lack of updates as of late can be attributed to a general malaise with all things gaming/Internet related, coupled with an ever-increasing level of general burnout and laziness. Don’t get me wrong, I am still gaming a good bit, but outside of board games, old-school UO and my beloved arcade machines, I haven’t been doing much on the console side of things. (I recently had birthday #37, and with that event, I’m beginning to think that maybe I’m just getting too damn old for this business. After all, I’m fast-approaching the 30-year mark as a gamer, and Christ…that’s a damn long time to be doing ANYTHING.)

On the brighter side of things, even though my boy Brad used to never call or come visit very often (kids these days, really!), he’s moving back in to the TJG household. I’m sure he’ll make some kind of groovy announcement ASAP, so be on the lookout for that. Welcome back, son!

The last console gaming I did was Final Fantasy XII the day it was released. Heh.

I’ve been getting more into PC gaming since I finally have a computer that can handle it. I got the WoW expansion (don’t flame me, please, I rather enjoy the game and have a lot of friends who play it) and I’ve been playing lots of Team Fortress Classic. I’ll probably be picking up some more PC goodness soon. 😀

I go through periods where I’m all HARDCROE about PC gaming, but eventually, the realization always sets in that new PC games usually mean nothing more than derivative first-person shooters, tired micro-management strategy games, and level-based/gear-centric MMOs that bring nothing but the bore.

Well, until I get a few minutes to write a proper greeting to everyone, let me just post real quick here and say that it’s good to be back!
