It’s Alive!

So, the last time I piped up around these parts, I was going on about how the site was going into pause mode and that I would be “micro-blogging” on Twitter. Well, that didn’t really happen (I’ve always kinda hated Twitter, sorry), and after 6 years, I don’t think I’m going to begin Twitterin’ anytime soon.

Interestingly enough, though, I did recently get a hankering to try and keep the TJG pilot light going by not only resuming my ages-old mission to restore missing content, but to actually publish a fresh post or two. While I’ve certainly been on a journalistic hiatus of epic proportions, I have indeed continued to game over the last few years. Perhaps not with the fervor and passion of the gamer I was in my younger years, but nonetheless, I have continued on, enjoying — and loathing — games on a multitude of platforms.

Despite the fact that I’m even older and more jaded than ever — and often can’t be bothered to put too much effort into anything anymore — I figured I might as well take advantage of my little awakening and work on the ol’ site a bit. I’d like to say that I’m getting the band back together and will have some of the former staffers along for the ride, but that’s currently not the case. Not that I’m against that, mind you, but because I believe those guys have little-to-no interest in jumping back into the game-journalism saddle.

The same as it was in the beginning, it’s just me, the lonely ol’ jaded gamer, working on a site that few will probably ever pay attention to. Of course, the door is always open to my old bandmates, so if they get so inspired, perhaps I won’t be shuffling around these empty halls by myself for too terribly long.

Anyways, the nostalgia is high, and it’s kind of groovy to be back-in-action. Thanks for stopping by!
